Uploading Your Song & Picture

Uploading your media to Jango Airplay is simple & quick, but to make the process smoother and to make sure your media is uploaded properly we've written this short guide will help you through the steps. You should start on the 1st page below if you're a new sign-up (for existing member please see the 2nd picture).

If you already have a copy of your song on your computer in .mp3 format and less than 10 Mb in file size, and a picture in JPEG format and less than 5 Mb in file size you can skip step #1.

How do I find out what my song/picture properties are?
 - If you're on a PC you can right click the file, then click "properties", that will show file size and file format. 
 - If you're on a Mac you can click on the file then choose "get info" from the File menu.

• Quick Fix! Purchase your own song from any online store (iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby), download it, and you will instantly have an .mp3 version on your computer ready for upload. In most cases you can also save the album cover to your computer from the same site* and upload it to Jango Airplay. If you choose the quick fix, please jump straight to #2.

*When saving your picture, please select JPEG as file format.

#2 Upload your picture
First you need to make sure your picture complies with the standards, files have to be:

• In JPEG format
• No larger than 5 Mb (no exceptions)
• No larger than 600x480px
• (Optional) We recommend that the picture is square (ideally 320x320px)

If your picture complies with these standards please click "Choose/Browse" in the section called "Your Picture" (for existing members go to "Band Info" then "Upload Photos"), find the file on your computer and add it. Then click "Upload" to upload your picture. You should see a confirmation notice saying "OK! Picture upload successful!" like the picture below (existing members please see the 2nd picture).

#3 Upload your song
Please make sure your song complies with the system requirements before trying to upload (.mp3 format & less than 10 Mb in file size).

* Make sure there are no strange characters in the file name, it should look like this: "Your_Song_Title".

In the section where you see the two fields "Song Title" and "Your Song" click "Choose" and locate the file on your computer then add it. Your song file should now show in the bottom field labeled "Your song". In the other blank field labeled "Song Title", enter the name of your song. Then click "Upload". After a short loading time you should see a confirmation notice saying "OK! Your song has been saved. Upload successful!" like the 1st picture below (existing members please see the 2nd picture). Your song/picture will go live on the following business day 6pm (EST).

That's it, you're now ready to click next and complete the sign-up.
